Shane DeVries is an illustrator born in Adelaide, Australia. He began his career as an architectural illustrator and now creates visual development art for animation productions and illustrates books.
Shane has collaborated with best-selling author Tom Fletcher to illustrate "The Christmasaurus," which became the biggest debut middle-grade novel of 2016, and "The Creakers." He has also illustrated several books for acclaimed South Australian author Phil Cummings, including "Boy," which won the Children's Peace Literature Award in 2017, was a Notable Book in 2018, and was shortlisted for Book of the Year in the Early Childhood category.
As the art director for the 2020 movie "100% Wolf," Shane oversaw the design of characters, environments, and props. He also contributed to the visual development of the subsequent TV series.
